Starting a front yard berm

These 3 pictures were taken at the start of our front yard berm project. Dad's pet rock needs a new resting place. With his skidsteer,  Kevin gathered the dirt into a mound which we are now shaping into a berm. A prairie fire crabapple (bare root) has been planted on this berm. We have spent our budget this year. Next year, we will put perenials on the berm, lay pavers, plant grass.

Kevin & Sharon
In 2003 Kevin retired from over 30 years of service at NICOR in Illinois. Sharon retired from nursing. We said goodbye to the home in which we raised our 4 sons and moved to the Faulkton, SD, the home town where both Kevin & I were raised. The people in Faulkton remembered us and our parents. They have welcomed us with outstretched arms and smiles. We are living proof that you can go "home" again.
